Hosting by IONOS

Our website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. IONOS automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files that your browser automatically transmits to us. These include:

  • Visited website
  • Time of access
  • Amount of data sent (in bytes)
  • Referring URL
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address (possibly anonymized)

The collection of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free and optimized presentation of the website.

A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) has been concluded with IONOS.

Contact Form / Waitlist Sign-Up

If you contact us via the contact form or sign up for our waitlist, the information you provide—including your email address—will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your request and for any follow-up questions. This data will not be shared without your consent.

The processing of the data entered into the form is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. A simple email to us is sufficient.

Your data will be stored only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose of the processing or as long as we are legally required to retain it.

Cookies

Our website uses only technically necessary cookies required for the operation of the website. These cookies do not harm your device and do not contain viruses. No personal data is stored in these cookies. Therefore, no separate consent is required.

Additional Tools and Plugins

We do not use any analytics tools, newsletters, or additional plugins that collect or evaluate personal data.

Your Rights

You have the right at any time to request information, free of charge, about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing. You also have the right to request the correction, blocking, or deletion of this data, provided no legal retention obligations exist.

Right to File a Complaint with Supervisory Authorities

If you believe your data has been processed unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the responsible supervisory authority. For us, this is the Data Protection Commissioner of the State of Hesse (Hessen) in Germany.

Data Protection Officer

No data protection officer has been appointed, as this is not legally required for private individuals under current GDPR regulations.

Privacy Notice for the Atom App (iOS)

In addition to the data processing described for our website, the following information applies when you use the Atom mobile application ("App").

1. Controller

2. Categories of Data Processed in the App

When using the App, we may process the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data (e-mail address, password, or Apple ID login)
  • Usage data (habits created, completion status, streaks, statistics)
  • Device information (iOS version, device model, crash/error logs)
  • Support communication if you contact us by e-mail

We do not collect location data, contact lists, or other unnecessary information.

3. Purposes and Legal Bases

Processing is carried out for the following purposes:

  • Provision and operation of the App (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, performance of contract)
  • Ensuring stability and security of the App (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest)
  • Responding to user inquiries and support requests (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
  • Compliance with statutory obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR)

We do not use third-party tracking or advertising SDKs within the App.

4. Hosting and Data Processing by Supabase

The Atom App uses Supabase as a backend and hosting provider. Supabase acts as a data processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

  • Data is stored on servers located within the European Union.
  • A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with Supabase is in place.
  • Where Supabase provides services that may involve international transfers, such transfers are carried out on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in accordance with Art. 44 ff. GDPR.
  • Supabase publishes additional region-specific information for users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, including the lawful bases for processing, cookie use, and data subject rights. You can review these disclosures at: https://supabase.com/privacy.

5. Retention

  • Account and usage data are retained until the user requests deletion of the account.
  • Communication data is retained for up to 6 months after the inquiry has been completed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
  • Upon account deletion, personal data will be erased or anonymized unless further storage is legally required.

6. Disclosure of Data

We do not transmit personal data to third parties except:

  • to service providers necessary for operating the App (e.g. Supabase),
  • if we are legally obliged to do so, or
  • if you have expressly consented.

7. Rights of Users

You have the following rights under the GDPR:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

To exercise your rights, please contact us at info@atom-app.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in particular with the supervisory authority responsible for your place of residence. In Hesse, Germany, this is the Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (HBDI).

8. Security

We use state-of-the-art technical and organizational measures (TOMs) to protect your personal data from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access. All data transmission between the App and our servers is encrypted (TLS).
